
Nurse Stole Fentanyl from Fertility Clinic, Leaving Patients in Agony
A registered nurse at a Yale University fertility clinic swapped painkiller with saline, affecting hundreds of women undergoing egg-retrieval procedures
Between June and October 2020, registered nurse Donna Monticone stole fentanyl intended for patients at Yale University's fertility clinic in Orange, Connecticut, and replaced it with saline. Approximately 75% of the painkiller given during this period had been tampered with, leaving at least 93 women in excruciating pain during invasive procedures.
